To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Evangelion, we are excited to welcome singer/songwriter, Yoko Takahashi, who is best known for performing A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, the opening theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Yoko Takahashi is an extremely influential Japanese singer and songwriter best known for performing A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, the opening theme song of Neon Genesis Evangelion, one of the world’s most commercially successful and critically acclaimed animated television series. She also performed Fly Me to the Moon, and Soul’s Refrain, the theme of the film Evangelion: Death and Rebirth. She has had a profound impact on Japanese pop culture. Takahashi’s newest album, 20th Century Boys & Girls 2 was just released in April. All songs were selected from the great movies, TV shows, and anime of the 1970s and 80s.
Yoko Takashi will be doing autograph sessions throughout the weekend and participating in the NGE 20th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, July 5, which will also feature:
