KARAOKE CONTEST

• Allow 30 performers to compete in the first competition.
• SOLOS ONLY
• Team Kara Karaoke will determine the top 20 to compete in the Semi-Finals the next day.
• Team Anime to find 3-4 judges to participate American Idol style in the Semi Finals and Finals.
• Top 10 from the semi-finals go on to compete in the finals.

Titles to Win Include (for example):

1. 1st Place
2. 2nd Place
3. 3rd Place
4. 4th Place

SCHEDULED GAMES OVERVIEW AND DESCRIPTION

Each game will invite 12 contestants to the stage to stand behind a table (2 tables / each 6 feet long).

A buzzer will be placed in front of each of them. Players who answer a question correctly will receive fake cash. At the end of each game they can use that fake cash to “buy” anime merchandise at the table where they signed up.

Depending on the number of prizes available, maybe players can sign up with a friend for some games.

15 Songs Per Game

Each game can have a theme and three rounds with 5 songs each.

NAME THAT TUNE

You know the drill. You get 10 seconds of a song but you have to buzz in first to take home a prize. And don’t forget to remember the name of the song AND who sings it. This may not be as easy as you think.

FINISH THE LYRICS

DON’T STOP… think you know the next FIVE WORDS of this song??

Get ready to SPEAK or SING the next phrase and win big! Win even more when you yell out the name of the artist and the song title. This is gonna be so easy… or maybe not?

SING ME A CHORUS

Always know the chorus and never the verses? This game is for you. You’ll hear a popular song with a catchy chorus. Be the first to buzz in and belt it out to win some prizes! Get the audience to sing along and win some more!

MUSIC TRIVIA

It’s just a little trivia game. Or is it? Only play if you’re ready to belt out the song mentioned in the question. That’s the only way to win big and take home some awesome anime prizes.

Throughout the day these incentives to win prizes will be presented to the audience if there is a need to pump up the crowd and get them involved. 

HOST’S CHOICE

Share your top three karaoke go to songs and your host will choose another song at random for you! I know, what will she choose? Take the chance and win some sweet merch!

KRAZY KARAOKE

Ready to live on the edge? Take a chance and choose a song from the KAMIKAZE KARAOKE CUP and grab a mic! Complete the song and you get some swag on us.

KARAOKE CHALLENGE

Not sure what to sing - you just need a suggestion? We got you covered. Just remember, you never know what you’re gonna get. But it will be worth it when you walk away with something fabulous!

(ie: “pick your favorite Disney song and belt it out” OR “we dare you to sing a duet - you pick the song we’ll pick your partner”)
