Everyone has a superpower, and Anime Expo volunteers truly bring that to life. Each year, they come together to create an unforgettable experience for attendees!

We are thrilled by the continued overwhelming interest in joining the AX Volunteer Program. With limited spots available, we want to ensure fairness by prioritizing those who have previously applied and have been waiting for their opportunity, as well as a select number of returning volunteers. As such, we will not be accepting new applications at this time. Volunteer Resources will be reaching out directly to selected volunteers through March and April to notify them of their selection. Thank you again for your interest. We are deeply grateful to all of our volunteers.

AX Volunteer Program

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old by May 1st of the year you wish to volunteer. All volunteers must be 18 before beginning any volunteer work or training. (i.e. To volunteer for Anime Expo 2030, you must be at least 18 years old by May 1, 2030.)
Must have a minimum of 40-hour commitment scheduled (may include pre-con, at-con, and post-con hours).
Must be available for all of the Anime Expo show dates. Some departments may require earlier onsite arrival.
Complete the following:
- Volunteer Onboarding Forms
- Background screen
- Youth Protection Policy (YPP) courses
- Volunteer department-specific training and requirements
