TOSHI TODA was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. He started acting career through Gekidan
Shiki Acting Company in Japan before he moved to New York in 1974. He was going to stay in
New York only a year studying Ballet and other dancing forms and return to Tokyo, but instead
found his free spirits in New York and now he has been living in USA for 50 years. He appeared
many off off/ off/ on Broadway plays. And he appeared in “Sly Fox” national company directed
by Arthur Penn with Jackie Gleason and Cleavon Little. After he appeared in Tony award
nominated Broadway Musical “Anything Goes” with Patti LuPone, he moved to Los Angeles to
pursue his acting career in Films and Television. Hollywood has been very kind to him. He
played not only Japanese characters, but also Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and other
unidentified countries. He appeared TV shows such as “ Shogun(Hulu)”, “ Perry Mason(MAX)”,
“Winning Time(MAX), “Seinfeld”, ” Touched by an Angel ”, ”Arrested Development”, “
Flashforward” and many films such as “Letters From Iwojima ”,” Pearl Harbor”, “ Godzilla” “Just
Married” and others. He has two sons and married to a beautiful wife.
