At BORO BORO, vintage Japanese textiles are our passion. We carry a curated selection of vintage Japanese clothing as well as hand crafted goods made with upcycled kimono fabrics. We aim to create an accessible space for both kimono enthusiasts as well as those who are new to kimono to learn about the culture, history, and craftsmanship that goes into these incredible garments. Our vintage pieces have had many lives before reaching us, and hope that with your help they can continue to be loved and appreciated for many more generations to come.

Founder and owner Laura Wong has been studying kimono and Japanese textiles for over 15 years, both in Japan and in the U.S. She lived  in Japan back in 2006 and first fell in love with kimono while there and experiencing it firsthand. Laura is a certified kimono dresser and sensei with Tokyo based Yamano College of Aesthetics, and is passionate about sharing her knowledge of Japanese textiles and kimono culture with those outside of Japan.
