Keiichiro Saito embarked on his animation journey with Artland in the spring of 2016. The following year, he made his animation direction debut with the TV series THE IDOLM@STER SideM, followed by Monster Hunter Stories: RIDE ON, on which he also managed the storyboards. After coming to MADHOUSE in 2018, he served as a storyboard artist and director of animation for Boogiepop and Others. A huge milestone in his career came in 2019, when he took the director’s chair for the first time as co-director of ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. – Regards. Saito also oversaw storyboarding and animation direction. In 2020, he designed characters and directed animation for the third anniversary promotional video for the game Azur Lane. Then, in 2022 and 2023, he ventured into directing TV series with the mega-hits BOCCHI THE ROCK! and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. His latest achievement is the compilation film BOCCHI THE ROCK! Recap, coming to theaters in 2024.
